GAMBESON
 It was always possible to drive the point of a weapon through the rings of a mail shirt or shear it with a good cut. This often drove the damaged rings deep into the wound. Even if the blow didn't cut the mail, the blunt trauma alone was enough to break bone and damage internal organs. A thick, padded garment worn under a mail shirt greatly reduced the risk of these types of injuries. Our gambeson is of a type worn from the early middle ages well on through the Renaissance. HOODED GAMBESON

SCALED GAUNTLETS
SCA gauntlets hand-crafted from 16-ga. Mild Steel. Gloves are not included. Will fit medium to large hands. Overall Length is 12 inches. The weight is 4 pounds per pair. Each finger scale is riveted with two steel rivets to a leather strap. Brass rivets are used to line the perimeter of the top of each hand and wrist area. Usually ships in 6-8 weeks

FENCING GLOVES
Black leather fencing gloves made from top-quality cowhide. These are perfect for SCA fencing, combat or hand protection from steel gauntlets. Good-looking addition to your Renn Fair or LARP costume. Men's size medium. Overall length of the glove is 18 inches, with the forearm portion (from the wrist seam to the elbow) measuring 10-1/2 inches, and measuring 7-1/2 inches from the wrist to the fingertips. These gloves cover the forearm.

MAIL GAUNTLETS
To protect the back of the hand, we have added mail on our black leather gauntlets and also placed slightly cupped steel lames all around the cuff. These gauntlets offer good protection to the hand, wrist and lower arm from a sword slash or draw cut. There's a pair much like these at the Art Institute of Chicago that are highly decorative, however we have left ours plain to keep the price down and to allow them to be historically correct from the Early Middle Ages well into the Renaissance. SPAULDERS

These handsome Medieval spaulders are hand forged from 16-gauge mild steel and ready for battle! Two genuine leather straps buckle around the arm for support. One leather strap is also added to the top of each spaulder to attach to additional body armor. They are lined in leather.

ARMS
Complete three piece arms containing the rerebrace, vambrace,and couter. Upper and lower arm protection joined by the elbow coup. Open on the inside to fit a large range of arm sizes. Does have some lateral adjustment. Leather lacing is included to assemble the arms. 18 ga. mild steel.

LEG ARMOR
Knight in armor legs, costume or combat! Made from 16-ga. mild steel which bends at the knees. Legs are open in back and complete with leather straps. They meet SCA armor requirements. We have added leather at the top of each leg with a leather strap and buckle so that you can attach them to your belt or armor. The legs are 7 inches wide at the top, 6 inches at the knee, 5 inches at the ankle...I would consider these to be size large. Overall length is 35 inches, 30-1/2 inches to top of ankle. FANTASY ARMOR
All armor pictured is genuine leather with brass accents. The cross design on the breast plate is rendered in solid brass. The leather on both breast plate AND bracers is laminated on both sides to a 1/4" formed backing, giving the armor the desired sturdiness for maximum protection. Cross is only on the Front! The breast plate armor is made in two pieces and is laced together above the shoulders and on the sides with leather laces. Will fit up to a 42" chest when laced completely closed. 18-1/2" from the bottom of the neck opening to the bottom of the breast plate. CHURBERG SABATONS
Churberg style fully articulated armor legs ready to wear to your next event. Hand-forged from 18-ga. steel with solid brass accents and genuine leather straps. NOTE: The wood stand is not included in this offering. The Sabatons are attached to the legs with Chicago screws and can be removed and worn separately. Overall leg length is 32".
