An
encampment is set up depicting daily life in the early 1400's AD. Sir
Blackwolf and Dame Dagrny demonstrate the lifestyle of their respective
Welsh and Swedish Ancestries. On display are the tools of the Warriors
trade; Chainmaile and Plate Armor, swords, spears and longbows. As well
are the necessities of everyday life. Dame Dagrny demonstrates how she
takes care of her family's needs of food, shelter and clothing as well
as defending them when need demands. Sir Blackwolf tells tales of brave
deeds done at battles long ago as well as explaining how warfare was
conducted in the Middle Ages.
Guests are encouraged to take part in hands on activities of
making fire with flint and steel, sampling food of the time period and
trying on clothing typical of the times. Children are invited to
participate in games as well.
If
desired and there is a safe area to do so, demonstrations of Medieval
Weapons may be conducted as part of Medieval W.A.R. Weapons and Armour
Re-enactment
Realistic exhibits and demonstrations of real weapons and their effect
demonstrated on ferocious pieces of fruit. Armour such as Chainmaile,
Plate Armour, Longbow, Crossbow, Longsword, Sword & Shield,
Spear, Warhammer, Battle Axe, and Dagger as used in the Middle Ages. A
minimum of one 30 minute program is available per day of your Event.
Providing there is a suitable area to do so demonstrations of Archery,
Spear hurling and Trebuchet may also be offered.
