Medieval Day Camp is designed to promote the values of Chivalry, to build the character of participants through workshops and Tournaments and to develop the self esteem of the participant. Our programs are designed to entertain and challenge all age groups. They are ideal for Schools, Universities, Parks and Recreation Departments, Boy and Girl Scouts, Churches, Childcare facilities, Business groups as well as individuals who have always wanted to experience the Medieval Ages. Programs are available throughout the year.

Age Groups
Kindergarten – 2nd grade: Day program only
3rd grade – 5th grade: Day program only
6th grade – 8th grade: Day or Overnight Program
9th grade – 12th grade: Day or Overnight Program
Adult: Day or Overnight Program

Day Program
The day begins with our guests arriving and being assigned to their Country. We are capable of handling small or large groups of various ages. Our guests are divided into Countries with up to 10 participants in a Country. Participants can become citizens of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany or Spain depending on the number and age of participants enrolled. Other countries available upon request. There they receive Tee Shirts and are given name tags with heraldic devices to color, even the adults enjoy decorating these! It is at this point that the Guide leads the Country on to their adventure! During the day participants play games such as Bocce, Battledore & Shuttlecock and Quoits, watch demonstrations of falconry, greyhound coursing, or knights at melee, make leather projects, paint shields, shoot the longbow, cook and enjoy foods from the Medieval Ages, learn to swordfight from our Knights, play musical instruments, sing songs and learn to dance, and most importantly learn the Code of Honour by which all of those that bring you this Camp live by. Of course these are just examples of what we can provide, should you desire other activities not listed, pray let us know. The adventure is limited only by your imagination!

Overnight Program
The overnight program is a continuation of the Day program. After the last Activity of the day there is a time period for relaxation and rest from the excitement of the day. Then all participants gather for a sumptuous Feast! After that we gather around the Fire Circle where Knights tell tales of King Arthur’s Court, and great Quests seeking Dragons! There is music and dancing and of course if anyone has the room, delicious sweet treats! Then the guests are led to their pavilions, tents or other quarters to sleep and rest so that they might be ready for the Tournament to be held the next day!

The Tournament consists of Archery, Swordsmanship and the Courtly Skills of Poetry, Singing and Dance. Events are scored for both the Country and the individual participant. Prizes are awarded to the Countries accumulating the most points and as well individual prowess is rewarded at the Closing Ceremony held after Tournament. Also at the Ceremony, Ranks are awarded to participants at certain age/grade levels. The rank of Page is bestowed upon those of the 5th grade level. Squire is given unto those that are in the 8th grade, and unto those in the 12th grade and adults 18 or older are dubbed and given the rank of Knight.
Please note that Tournaments are not available for the Day Program due to time constraints.

Providing a Program in your area requires that you have suitable land available which has provisions for toilets, potable water, room for all Activities, permission for overnight camping if applicable, permission for open fires and adequate parking. MFC is fully insured and conducting a Program does cover the Lands, Landowners and all Participants.

MFC does not endorse any religious, political or cultural beliefs or practices, however we do encourage providing the opportunity for our Clients to offer workshops that promote their Values as how they relate to the Code of Chivalry.
